At first glance, it seems like a rescue mask, hence the name Jet Lag, although it can be used nightly as well. Interestingly, it can be used in different ways – as a daily moisturizer, an in-flight mask, a nightly mask, or a quick 10-minute moisture boost. This versatility raises questions about whether it’s truly a mask or just a cleverly marketed moisturizer. The product seems to fill a gap in the market for jet lag masks compared to the abundance of moisturizers available. Additionally, the concept of “tired skin” is quite subjective and lacks a specific definition.

With prices starting at £26 for the smaller 28ml version and £49 for the 64ml version, which seems reasonable considering the quantity, the mask is a comfortable and soothing option, especially for long-haul flights where skin tends to become dry. I followed the instructions on the box and used it for a ten-minute moisture boost.

Despite its thick appearance, the texture of the mask feels light on the skin. It is fragrance-free, provides an immediate cooling sensation, and effectively hydrates and softens the skin. After application, you can simply dab your face with a warm, damp cloth to remove any excess product, or you can massage it in as you would with a moisturizer. While the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask appears to be a success on the surface, it would benefit from clearer labeling regarding its actual purpose. It seems like a straightforward moisturizer that has been marketed differently. In my opinion, a mask should not double as a daily moisturizer.
