e.l.f. Camo Hydrating CC Cream Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] e.l.f.’s Camo Cream has been upgraded to be more of a skincare, SPF, and makeup combination. It now contains Hyaluronic Acid and Tremella mushroom (also known as Snow Fungus!) to provide more hydration and antioxidants. The trend in the beauty industry is to incorporate as much skincare as possible into makeup, and foundation is where it can make a significant difference. I currently have many e.l.f. products as they are releasing numerous new items. Full disclosure, I have a sponsored Instagram post with the brand scheduled for next week.

I was a fan of the original product and I also like this new version – it’s a great choice for a full-coverage foundation. It offers more coverage than I typically use, but since it also contains SPF, it feels surprisingly light on the skin. The trade-off here is that you need to apply a generous amount to get the sun protection, so if you prefer sheer coverage, this may not be the best option for you. You could apply it more lightly, but you would sacrifice the SPF. However, it’s pigmented enough that you could possibly mix it with your current SPF to create a tinted effect.

I want to highlight the Liquid Blush Brush, which is soft and gentle and costs £5. I highly recommend getting it despite the labeling because it’s perfect for applying liquid or cream blush, foundation, or base. Its slight angle helps it adhere to the face’s contours better than a traditional foundation brush, making it particularly useful for tinted moisturizers. I am very impressed with it and have been using it frequently since I purchased it. At £5, consider getting two – one for foundation and one for blush. It’s available HERE.

The shades I received from the brand are Light 205 at the bottom and Fair 120 at the top. 205 has neutral olive undertones, making it a perfect match for my skin tone, while 120 has neutral beige undertones, suitable for me on a very pale day.

This is how it appears on my skin, although keep in mind that I have very good lighting today – it may not look as flawless in person. I don’t use a ring light, so my lighting changes with the weather, which seems like a more natural approach until a day like today when I look filtered. The finish of the e.l.f. Camo Hydrating CC Cream is natural, reflecting light like bare skin, so it’s neither matte nor dewy, although it’s being marketed as dewy in some places. Nonetheless, you can add your own dewy effect. Available in 29 shades, the e.l.f. Camo Hydrating CC Cream is priced at £15, which is exceptional for the quality. Get it here.
